A journey of eating disorder (ED) recovery. Loving myself back to health one breath at a time.
⚘ My body knows ⚘

Hello!
Hey, I’m Asiah (pronounced Asia), currently on the road to recovery from an eating disorder. My days are filled with a constant flux of ups and downs and more breakdowns than I care to admit, but I couldn’t be more grateful. Life offers so many blessings beyond ED (Eating Disorder), and this blog will dive into all of it. I hope that my journey offers some experience, strength and hope!

About Me
I recently turned my life upside down (or right side up, depending on how you look at it) and I’m here to tell you about it! At 29, I quit my full-time teaching job, temporarily left my friends and family, and moved to Nanaimo, BC to recover from anorexia.
I spent years of my life giving everything to my illness, and I’m finally learning to let that sh*t go and rediscover Asiah. I love diving deep, turning over every rock, and living honestly. Read more
Dearest Asiah,
Your honesty and bravery inspire so very much! I understand the depths of addiction and the moment of how the f@c! did I get here. I’ve been fighting my own battle(s) for almost 28 years and still haven’t found the courage/time/finances/resources (all excuses really) to do what you are doing. Thank you helping me to reconsider my priorities…and thank you for being a bright spot in my life! Love you so much!!
