The first thing I want you to know is that I am NOT a medical professional. I encourage everyone to seek professional help if you are struggling! I’m only here to share my personal journey and experiences, and the knowledge that I learn along the way. If you’re looking for help, feel free to reach out and check out these resources!
Second, I don’t sugarcoat things. Eating disorders are terrifying and complex and I will say things as they are. No, I will not show you before and after photos. No, I will not tell you my lowest weight or talk about how many calories I ate in a day. These are by far the least interesting things about me and won’t help anyone on their road to recovery! What I will share with you are the challenges that I’m facing, how I’m overcoming them, and the blessings of living a life beyond ED.
Lastly, I want you to know that ED comes in every shape and size imaginable. There are many stigmas and ideas around eating disorders (don’t worry, I’ll get into all of that), but everyone’s journey looks different and everyone’s journey is valid!
